A Playlist for Courage

Today we visited the lawyers and signed a gigantic stack of papers that mean that (assuming all goes well on Thursday), we’re going to be homeowners Very Damn Soon.

Homeowners.

Holy SHIT.

I am trying really really hard not to freak out.

There’s so much to be grateful for, and I’m trying to focus on that, but there’s also a lot of scariness. This whole process is brining me face to face with my money demons and my worthiness demons and my self-confidence demons. In the eternal words of Ellie Di, the Headologist, I’m fighting a battle with my panic weasels. Sometimes it feels like I’m losing.

But here’s one thing that’s been helping me: I’ve created a Playlist For When I’m Really Effing Scared. And I’m sharing it today.

Some of the songs are specifically about overcoming fear and claiming our brillance. Some of the songs aren’t about courage specifically, but they make me feel wildly happy and ready for anything. And they’re pretty much all perfect candidates for a living room dance party…or for singing along to while frenziedly packing.

If you need me, that’s where I’ll be for the next 3 days…packing and singing and dancing along to this playlist.
